This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Austin Software Services LLC ("we", "us") collects through austinss.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, how it is handled, and how you can exercise your privacy rights. We aim to collect as little as possible.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not take part in behavioral advertising networks.
2. Information You Provide
The Site has no accounts and no sign-in. The only personal information you can give us here is what you enter in the contact form:
- Contact details: your name, email address and, if you choose to add them, your company and phone number.
- Your message: the subject and the text of your inquiry.
Please do not include passwords, access keys, or confidential customer or patient data in a message.
3. Automatically Collected Information
When you browse the Site, our servers record standard operational logs:
- HTTP logs: IP address, the page requested, the time of the request and the HTTP status code.
- Abuse-prevention logs: when the contact form rejects an automated or spam submission, we log the IP address and the email address that was submitted.
- Performance telemetry: response times, service health indicators and error traces from our hosting platform.
5. How Information Is Used
We use the information above only to:
- Read and reply to your inquiry, and follow up on a project you asked us about.
- Protect the Site against spam, automated abuse, denial-of-service attacks and security vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoot errors and keep the Site fast and available.
We do not add you to a mailing list because you used the contact form.
7. Legal & Security Disclosure
We may disclose personal information only when strictly necessary to:
- Comply with a valid subpoena, court order or enforceable governmental demand.
- Detect, prevent or address fraud, security breaches or technical emergencies.
- Protect the legal rights, safety or property of Austin Software Services LLC, our clients or the public.
8. Data Retention
- Contact form messages: the Site does not store them in a database. They are delivered by email and kept in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Server and access logs: retained in Cloud Logging for up to 30 days for security analysis and performance monitoring, then purged automatically.
9. Security Measures
- All traffic to the Site is encrypted in transit with TLS (HTTPS), and browsers are told to use HTTPS only.
- A strict Content Security Policy allows scripts and styles from austinss.com only.
- Mail credentials are held in Google Cloud Secret Manager and are never committed to source repositories.
- The Site runs as an unprivileged process in a minimal container, and our delivery pipeline scans each release for known vulnerabilities.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site describes business technology consulting services and is intended for professionals. It is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact privacy@austinss.com and we will delete it.
11. International Visitors
The Site is hosted in the United States. If you use it from the European Union, United Kingdom, Canada or another jurisdiction, your information may be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your home country.
